Painting

Art is a huge subject from the history of it to sculpting but I will tell you about painting. Almost everyone has heard about painting. As it’s one of the more popular styles of art. The soft bristle of the paint brush, the hard white canvas and wet paint is just a bit about painting. When there is so much more to talk about. We’ve seen the art today but what about back then.          

 

Cro-magnon people in prehistoric times painted animals that people counted on to stay alive. They believed that painting animals so realistic would assure them great victory in hunting. In Egypt its tombs and temples were filled with so many gorgeous, detailed paintings. Sadly, only a small number of paintings are still around from Greece, Egypt and Rome. Painters and people love painting but what are some of the many reasons artists/people paint.

 

Painters paint for multiple reasons. To seek truth, hopes and passion. Another reason is to enjoy nature. Artists make discoveries about nature and paint it onto a canvas. For some it is to express their feelings in a different way. Some paint to escape from what they are going through. For many it is for the joy of painting. People also do it for a job, they combine what they love and make it into a career. There are many unique types of styles of painting from water colour to abstract but what is expressionism. 

 

Expressionism is where artists try not to create factual reality this painting style is where you portray certain emotions and paint it to make others feel and know what the emotion is. This different style if painting is shown by the vivid and hypnotising effects. Instead of the painting being seen as the object, person or thing it rather shows its mental state. Now that you know what expressionism is, whom is a famous group that does expressionism. 

 

Expressionism has been utilised by many since the nineteen hundreds. Many famous artists use this approach if art. Famous artists had produced a highly personal style of painting. They broke away from exact copies of nature and objects. They use bold colour and lines to make the painting unusual and yet adding elegance to the painting. In 1905 a group of German artists formed a group called “Bie Brüke” in translation to English the bridge. They had soon progressed the style with bold lines and colours. The paintings expressed frustration, anxiety and brutality in them but still they were preferred by many.  

 

In conclusion out of all the things I could have picked to talk about I picked these questions on paintings. Because most people don’t know about why artists paint or what expressionism is. I was curious about painting and found it interesting I hope you have more know more on painting.

The Idea Is Better Than The Truth

I like the idea of summer. The long bike rides, A popsicle melting in your hand. Swimming in a cold pool or ocean, playing basketball on the court outside. Watching the bright stars on the grass. Fresh squeezed lemonade, Ice cream from the ice cream truck making its way through your street. The nature trails with your family. Taking your dog on a long walk. Searching for flowers in the meadow. Going strawberry or raspberry picking. The truth is the boiling humidity and it being very difficult to cool down. The bees stinging you as you walk by their nest. Bugs crawling over you. Weeding the flower beds, you have on your lawn. Getting picked at by thorns on your roses.

What topic I would study

If I could study any topic it would be music. The reason is I would love to know more about it. Most of my family loves music and know a lot about it. I would love to know about the artistes I like, and the background of music. My grandpa interviews some music artistes/bands. My other grandpa was a DJ I’m not sure where he had been a DJ though, but he had to know a lot about music, and he did. I’m learning about music more though. I’m open to any genre of music. I can also study instruments because it’s in music. I’m learning the guitar. That’s why I’d study music.

About Me

Hi, I am Chloe. I am going to be talking a little bit about myself. First, I just turned 12 on October 26. Some of my hobbies are writing, drawing,painting, reading and basketball. I have a younger sister Kayla who is nine years old turning ten years old on February 10. My dad is 39 years old turning 40 on June 22. My mom is 37 and her birthday is September 24. My stepmom is 40 years old turning 41 years old on January 26. I have two cats and a dog at my dad’s house. My dog’s name is Sparky a Jack Russel with white fur and brown spots. She doesn’t know how to play with toys because both owners before us kept her in a cage all day but she’s learning how to. She is 9 years old I’m the one mostly taking care of her. Pico is a mix between a Siamese and another breed, she is lazy and only loves my stepmom, she eats, sleeps and repeats she is fat, and cream coloured with brown spots her favourite spot is on top of the PlayStation because it’s warm. I have another cat, her name is Soraya, it means crystal in Arabic. She moves fast and is super energetic. She is a gray Siberian, also she is incredibly soft and fluffy. She thinks she has every spot in the house, she will sit in the spot Pico’s in so now Pico will find a new spot and then so on. I like to go on long bike rides with my sister. We usually bike for forty minutes or so and have a lot of fun. That is a little bit about me.  

Music

I am going to be talking about music. My favourite genres of music are heavy metal, rock and just metal. Alot of people are shocked when I mention it to them. Now I am really going to talk about it.   My favourite bands are Metallica, Pink Floyd, Lamb of God, Deftones those are some my favourites. I am trying to listen to Iron Maiden, Rolling Stones, and another band I forget the name. I am also really bad with names of songs and band names/singers. Some of my favourite songs are creep by Radiohead, 512 by Lamb of God, Ceremony by Deftones, Radiant City by Deftones and that is just to name a few. My least favourite type of music is new country, all the songs sound the same and mom overplays a bunch of songs of new country music, that is just my opinion. I also really do not like the band Shinedown, it was again overplayed by my mom. I used to like it but now it is horrible. That was that of me talking about music.
